What MaxBid is
MaxBid is an information and decision-support tool for vehicle dealers. It models landed cost, expected resale and profit for auction vehicles, and returns a verdict (BUY, CHECK, AVOID, WATCHLIST or PARTS ONLY) and a max safe bid. MaxBid is not an auction house, a broker, a customs agent, a freight forwarder, or a party to any purchase, bid or sale. We do not place bids on your behalf and we do not hold or transfer funds.
The numbers are estimates, not guarantees
- Landed cost, resale and profit figures are modeled from the auction data, cost assumptions and market information available at the time a scan runs. They can be wrong, and they change as new information appears.
- Auction results shown as historical or modeled "cases" are not live prices — they are reconstructed or archived examples, and are always labeled as such.
- Quoted totals may not include every fee an auction house, freight line, or customs authority ultimately charges. Always confirm current fees with the source before bidding.
- Vehicle condition, damage and documentation must be independently verified before you bid. MaxBid's damage and repair-cost notes come from the listing source, not a physical inspection we performed.
You are responsible for your own bidding and purchasing decisions. MaxBid is not liable for losses arising from a decision made using our verdicts, estimates or public listings.
Using the site
- Do not scrape, automate, or resell MaxBid's listings, verdicts or unlocked breakdowns without our written permission.
- Public search and unlocks are rate-limited to keep the service available for everyone; we may throttle or block abusive use.
- Information you submit through the access or unlock forms must be accurate — see our Privacy Policy for how it is used.
Changes
We may update MaxBid's features, verdicts model, or these terms as the product evolves. The date at the top of this page reflects the latest revision.
